Sunny Life started with a simple gap:
Danish grocery stores didn’t have the kind of flavorful, nutrient-dense spreads our California-born founder was used to. So we made one.
Our signature sunflower seed butter is made without common allergens like nuts—because we believe food can be inclusive and delicious.
Our mission is simple: to make wholesome food that supports your health and is made with environmental impact in mind. We know every product has a footprint, so we focus on making thoughtful choices—from our ingredients to our packaging—to do things a little better. Better choices add up—and we want to make them easier for you.

We use high-quality, organic ingredients and prioritize nearby or regional sourcing when possible. Our core ingredient—sunflower seeds—was chosen for its lighter environmental impact compared to nuts. We keep it simple, traceable, and focused on what actually matters.

We use glass jars and paper-based materials wherever possible, and continue to look for lower-impact alternatives as we grow. Our goal is to keep packaging simple, recyclable, and as sustainable as we can reasonably make it.

Everything is made in small batches in Copenhagen. We keep our system minimal and efficient, making products to order to avoid unnecessary waste and overproduction.
